Oxmoor Country Club was founded in 1988 as one of only two Clubs in the nation that combined golf and steeplechase racing on the same site. Combining the Sport of Kings and the passion of golf, Oxmoor Country Club was designed to become one of the most challenging and picturesque courses in the Louisville area. Kentucky is known for its lush green landscapes, quiet streams and rolling hillsides; Oxmoor Country Club provides all of these beautiful elements of the Bluegrass State while demanding precision of skillful shot-making with every club in your bag. Although steeplechase racing is a thing of the past, numerous holes still offer the view of the racecourse. David Pfaff of Carmel, California, who served his apprenticeship underneath Pete Dye and Associates, designed the golf course using the land that was given to create eighteen holes, par 72 that is just over 6800 yards from the championship tees. Opening for membership play in the spring of 1990 to rave reviews, the Club has hosted numerous local and national events highlighted by the 2001 Kentucky Open and the 2007 Ladies Big East Championship & 2007 National Senior Olympics Golf Championship.
